About Me

Hi, I’m Paula - a storyteller, solo game developer, and lifelong horror fan. With a background in computer science and over a decade working in IT infrastructure, I turned to game development as a way to channel my creative energy - specifically, my need to tell stories. What began as a personal project has grown into a passion for crafting immersive, atmospheric experiences that can thrill, unnerve, and stay with players long after they’ve finished playing.

For me, game development is the perfect way to tell a story. Through a game I can "drag" my viewer, the player, to my world. It can't get any more immersive than this.

Although I do have a background and experience in technology I am not a dev. I did study C++ back in the ice age but regarding game dev I’m mostly self-taught, learning through trial and error, online tutorials, and a whole lot of determination. Every game I create is a step further into refining my skills, especially in creating immersive worlds where every detail adds to the atmosphere.

My games are deeply rooted in atmosphere and storytelling, often exploring psychological horror and surreal environments. Seals of Madness is my latest project, inspired by the cosmic horrors of H.P. Lovecraft, where players journey through a fragmented reality to unravel dark secrets. It’s been exciting to combine my love for horror with interactive storytelling, creating a game that feels immersive and unsettling.

Horror has always fascinated me and it is not just about jump scares - it’s about building tension, creating atmosphere, and delving into the unknown. I draw inspiration from horror games, films, and the works of authors like Stephen King and H.P. Lovecraft, all of which remind me that the best horror happens in the mind.
